• I am a home school mom and I use this book for my daughter's elective class. It explains everything so well. It definitely is a complete course. I highly recommend it. My daughter loves it! She reads it on her own time even when she doesn't have an assignment. It has bright colorful pictures with great explanations. It has diagrams and ideas to try. We are learning everything to how to hold the camera, how to take pictures in different areas, how to take multiple pictures and put them together. This book is so worth the money. There is so much in it to learn and see.
• This book is incredibly detailed. Its a must have for a newbie, or just as an all around reference guide for the avid photographer. Easy to read with tons of pictures, you just can't beat that. I started photography a little over 2 years ago and i decided to pick this book up and just use it as a guide now every now and then.
• I have absolutely no experience with a DSLR camera and bought this after reading a review posted by a mom that homeschools her high school aged daughter. I'm really glad I did. It starts exactly where I needed it to by explaining the camera controls and going from there. I love that it includes exercises to do to test yourself as well as a review/test at the end of each chapter.
  The subtitle reads that the course is 20 weeks. I can easily see getting through the book a lot quicker but I can also see it taking that long or longer if you reread chapters that confuse you. (Meaning me!😁)
  This is a great alternative to taking a photography class if you don't have any extra time or a class close to home. I'm 3 chapters in and I'm really enjoying it.
• I began reading it when my mother brought the book home from our local library. I was so enthused by its layout and lack of professional jargon that I ordered it from as a birthday gift to myself last February. If I had them, I'd give it five thumbs up. )
• Finally, a digital photography that starts with the very basic information in an understandable way. Will be using it for a long time to come. Would recommend it for any beginner or amateur who wants to improve knowledge.
• I absolutely love this book. I originally found it at the local library. After reading the first 3 chapters, I knew I had to own this book. It is very easy to read, and I love all the information given. I also enjoy the review sections as well as the practice and experiment sections. This book definitely makes learning photography more fun and enjoyable all around.

I even bought one for my sister for Christmas. I definitely recommend this book. As long as you read it you'll definitely get your money's worth and then some
• Great book for a beginner or hobbyist. The sections are intuitively written in an approachable manner with full color examples of the topics being discussed. Additionally, the book has several assignments to give you real hands on opportunities to apply the lessons you've learned. I highly recommend this book.
